Course Description
This course is designed as a capstone learning experience to prepare students for the ARDMS, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, exam. Exam content and test taking strategies will be discussed. Students also prepare for professional employment by synthesizing knowledge, skills and attitudes learned in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Prerequisites
(A requirement that must be completed before taking this course.)
- DMS 220 with a minimum grade of 3.0.
Corequisites
(A course to be taken in the same semester as this course.)
Course Competencies
Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) exam topics.
- Explore test taking skills and strategies for taking the registry exam.
- Practice answering examination-type questions.
- Provide the student with requisite skills to effectively search for employment.
- Summarize ethical and legal aspects of healthcare related patient rights.
