3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse (3WBRC) | Can-Am Spyder, Ryker Riders

This course is designed for someone who has little or no experience operating a three-wheel motorcycle, and it focuses on the development of basic riding skills: clutch and throttle coordination, straight-line riding, braking, turning, and shifting. Can-Am training motorcycles are provided. Privately owned motorcycles are NOT permitted. Sharing may be required. There are approximately 18 hours of instruction – 8 hours of classroom instruction, 8-10 hours of hands-on instruction, and 2 hours of evaluation and testing. This course provides a fast track to motorcycle endorsement (CY); successful completion allows a student to waive the written knowledge test and riding-skill test, which would otherwise be administered by the Secretary of State and a third-party testing agency, respectively.
