Oil Painting: Color Theory & Composition

Course Description

Learn the versatility of Alla Prima oil painting, the technique of painting masters. Explore different subjects and styles, while learning color theory, perspective and composition. Emphasis is placed on developing your own creativity through personal instruction, supported with class presentations. Some drawing experience is helpful. Please bring the following materials to the first session: basic oil color paint set (Artist Loft or Georgan are recommended), 12x16 canvas board or canvassette, odorless paint thinner, liner brushes (small, medium, and large) and Filbert/square brushes (small, medium, large) and ivory dish soap.
