Course Description

Safety is the remote pilot-in-command's priority when operating any small unmanned aircraft system. Improper mission planning can result in legal ramifications and/or accidents and injuries. Review proper Aeronautical Decision-Making techniques and learn how to systematically evaluate hazards and mitigate the risks of sUAS missions. Create a personal sUAS Mission Checklist and Risk Assessment Tool to use on all future sUAS flights. This class is required to complete the Schoolcraft Remote Pilot Certificate. Prerequisite: proof of a current FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.+
