Combating Caregiver Stress - Dementia Care Certificate

Course Description

Increase your awareness of potential effects of stress on physical and mental health in order to preserve your well-being. Learn to recognize the signs of caregiver stress, reduce and manage this stress when it appears and prevent a decline in the quality of compassionate care. Recommendation: take CES 4303 Fundamentals of Dementia Care first. This class is required to complete the certificate. This educational activity is provided by Schoolcraft College, an approved continuing education provider under the Michigan Board of Nursing Administrative Rule R338.10602(g) and is approved for 2 continuing education contact hours for nurses. It is approved for 2 continuing education contact hours for social workers by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative and 0.2 CEUs for all others.
