Course Description

What is the impact of a dementia diagnosis on the whole family? How do roles change? Learn to identify reasons for conflict and discuss coping strategies to alleviate potential stress within the family. Recommendation: take CES 4303 Fundamentals of Dementia Care first. This class is an elective to complete the certificate. This educational activity is provided by Schoolcraft College, an approved continuing education provider under the Michigan Board of Nursing Administrative Rule R338.10602(g) and is approved for 2 continuing education contact hours for nurses. It is approved for 2 continuing education contact hours for social workers by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative and 0.2 CEUs for all others.
