Course Description
The Detroit of 1931 saw its fair share of political scandals, rumrunners, mobsters, and even a mysterious murder. Accused of being a witch, immigrant Rose Veres was convicted of a murder and suspected of a dozen more, despite her pleads of innocence. Author Karen Dybis will share the details of this true story and the mystery of Detroit's own Hex Woman. Advanced registration is required. Doors open at 11:15 am. Open seating format. Lunch served at 11:45 am. For vegetarian or gluten-free meals, call 734-462-4448 at least seven days prior to the event.
