Parent & Preschool Swim: Ages 3 & 4

Course Description

Register in child's name. This class is both an introduction as well as a continuation of skill from our Parent & Tot classes. Students will continue working on basic skills and add new skills to help build confidence in the water. Some skills will be done independently, getting the child ready for classes without parents. All participants should have some water experience. Parent water participation is required. Bring your own swimsuit, towel and lock. Skills to be learned: .Student waits for parents cue to enter the pool each time, .Complete a safe entry with assistance, .Float on back, head in water and float on front with parents .Blow bubbles or try to put whole face in water .Try to blow bubbles through nose .Kick on front, reach and pull water while kicking with a floatation device or held by parent .Kick on back with floatation device or parent .Reach for toys on top of water and under the surface .Climbs out on the side of the pool with some assistance .Learn 1,2,3, go cue for jumping from side.
