Financial Aid

After completing this orientation, but before you register and start attending classes at Schoolcraft, you'll want to explore your Financial Aid options. There are plenty of ways to pay for college, but each one has its own set of requirements that you'll need to be aware of. For most of them, you'll need to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

If you've already completed a FAFSA and want to transfer the information to Schoolcraft, simply log into your account and add Schoolcraft's code: 002315.

After completing the FAFSA, fill out our general scholarship application, which will match you with scholarship opportunities available through Schoolcraft. Some scholarships may require additional information and some may require you to complete the current year FAFSA. Make sure to apply for scholarships every academic year.

Track Your Financial Aid

The video below shows you how to track the status of your financial aid. Make sure to check your

Tuition Rates and Payment Options

Tuition rates are listed as cost per credit hour. Your tuition rate is determined by your residency status (home address). Schoolcraft has four residency statuses: resident, non-resident, out-of-state, and international. Each residency status has a unique tuition rate. View residency status definitions and tuition rates. You can calculate your tuition costs per credit hour and compare costs to other Michigan colleges using our Tuition Comparison Calculator.

After registering for classes, you will want to pay your tuition and fees within 3 days. If not, you will be dropped from your classes. You can pay online or in person at the Cashier’s Office located in the McDowell Center on the Livonia campus. Payment can be made with cash, credit card, debit card, or check made out to Schoolcraft College.

We also have payment plans available, which break your tuition balance into monthly payments. Payment plans require a small set-up fee, but do not charge interest and offer flexible payment options. For more information and instructions on how to enroll, visit our Tuition Payment Plan web page.
