More Than 70 Employers from a Variety of Industries Will Be At Schoolcraft College’s Job Fair Oct. 12 To Accept Resumes and Speak with Job Seekers About Available Positions Career Services Also Offers Popular Job Search Solutions Workshops Throughout the Fall 

     Schoolcraft College’s Career Services is presenting a free Fall Job Fair, to be held Thurs., Oct. 12, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the DiPonio Room at the VisTaTech center. The Job Fair will feature representatives from more than 70 employers who will accept resumes and talk with job seekers looking for paid, permanent positions.  The employers in attendance will represent a variety of industries, including business, engineering, hospitality, healthcare, public safety, childcare/education, customer service and manufacturing.  The Job Fair is open to the public, and attendees should dress professionally and bring copies of their resume.
     In addition to the Job Fair, Career Services will continue to offer its popular Job Search Solutions Workshops on a variety of topics, including Job Fair Etiquette on Wed., Oct. 4, 2017 at 10 a.m.; Resume Essentials on Wed., Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. and Wed. Oct. 18 at 6 p.m.; and strategies and tips for Job Interviews on Wed., Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. The 90-minute workshops are free and open to the public and will be held in Room 100 of the McDowell Student Services Center on the college’s main campus in Livonia. 
      In addition to the Job Fair and Job Search Solutions Workshops, Schoolcraft College also recently launched a  new online career assessment tool, Career Coach, www.schoolcraft.edu/careerservices, enabling students and community members to learn about in-demand careers and the college certificates and degrees they need to access jobs in that career field.
