Alternate Route to Interim Teacher Certification program information session to be held Feb. 20 for college grads interested in becoming teachers or current teachers needing to add endorsements
An information session on Schoolcraft College’s unique Alternate Route to Interim Teacher Certification (ARC) is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 5 to 6 p.m. in Room 100 of the McDowell Center. The ARC program offers an accelerated curriculum to enable individuals with a college degree to become a certified teacher in one or two semesters, regardless of their academic major/minors. The program, which is approved by the Michigan Department of Education, also enables certified teachers to earn additional endorsements in a wide variety of subject areas, including elementary and secondary education.
Teachers and those interested in becoming certified teachers can register for the information session by emailing Kelly Rummel at krummel@schoolcraft.edu by Feb. 18.
For more information about the ARC program, contact Dennis Genig at 734-462-4335 or via email at dgenig@schoolcraft.edu.
