The Annual Empty Bowl fundraiser held Dec. 5 raised $2158 to help replenish the Student Food Pantries on the main Livonia campus and at the Radcliff Center in Garden City. At the event, sponsored by Student Activities, participants purchased hand-crafted items created by students in ceramic classes, had a bowl of soup donated by Food Services and fresh-baked bread made by Culinary Arts students. This simple meal was a reminder of the challenges of those facing food insecurities.

“I want to thank the ceramic class students, Henry’s Food Service, Culinary Arts students and everyone that came by and purchased a bowl or soup and bread to support the cause and make this year’s event such a huge success,” said Todd Stowell, Student Activities Director.
