Request for STEAMz Proposals Heating Up

January 17, 2020

Students interested in presenting at this year’s Professional Development Conference should attend an information session from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, in LA200.

This year’s theme is STEAMzSchoolcraft: Bridging the Arts, Humanities, and Sciences. This theme investigates how these disciplines effectively build on one another in real-world settings to support students’ academic and professional goals. The “z” refers to Generation Z. This focus was selected because the current traditional college-age student (18-22) is a part of Generation Z, the eldest of this group entering the workforce.

Participants with diverse backgrounds and interests are sought to creatively address this theme with an original presentation, activity or poster presentation. The information session will teach students how to prepare a proposal.

The Professional Development Conference, which is March 27, is presented by Learning Support Services, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Scholars Honors Program.
