For the fourth straight year, the Schoolcraft College hockey team will lend its talents to a good cause when it faces off against the Michigan State Police team at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth.
All proceeds will go to the Michigan State Trooper Assistance Fund. Thanks to the generosity of fans and the Schoolcraft community, the previous three games have raised nearly $10,000 total for the organization, which grants funds in times of serious and unforeseen immediate need for Michigan State Police troopers as well as other law enforcement members and first responders.
Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the arena, which is at 14900 Beck Road in Plymouth.
Tickets can be purchased online at http://bit.ly/SCHockeyBenefit19, by calling the Student Activities Office at 734-462-4422 or stopping by the Student Activities Office located in the lower level of the VisTaTech Center.
The Ocelots enjoyed some late-season success, recently winning the White Division of the 2020 Crossroads Cup with a 5-2 victory over Butler.
