Website Dedicated to Coronavirus Situation now Available

March 09, 2020

With the return of students and faculty after the recent mid-winter break, please know that the leadership of Schoolcraft College has been monitoring the coronavirus situation and has created a website with news, tips and links to respected resources. Go here to view the website.

The best guidance at this time to help stop the spread of the coronavirus is to take steps similar as you would to prevent from getting the flu. In particular, washing hands is extremely important – especially after eating, using the restroom or touching your face. Avoiding others who have flu-like symptoms is important as well.

Below are some best practices to help avoid getting sick:

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.

Also, please note that Schoolcraft College has alcohol-based sanitizer dispensers and hand-washing resources located throughout the buildings.

If you are feeling sick, please see your healthcare provider or visit the IHA Urgent Care in the Jeffress Center, which is open 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
