Art, Writing Contest Offering $800 Total in Scholarships

“International Agenda,” which is the official magazine of the Schoolcraft College International Institute (SCII), is sponsoring a writing and art contest with $800 total available for scholarships. All submissions, including the entry form, are accepted online, making this an excellent opportunity to earn scholarship money during this challenging time. The entry deadline is Monday, April 6, 2020.

The prizes are as follows:

Writing

  • First prize: $250
  • Second prize: $150

Art

  • First prize: $250
  • Second prize: $150

The purpose of these contests is to encourage students to grapple with international and cross-cultural issues and then to create relevant and publishable writing and artwork. Some of the key rules include:

  • You must be enrolled at Schoolcraft College during the Fall 2019 and/or Winter 2020 semester.
  • The writing or artwork must deal with a topic of international or cross-cultural interest and be suitable for publication in “International Agenda,” the semi-annual magazine of the Schoolcraft College international Institute.
  • The entry must be the original work of the contestant, must not have been previously published, and must not have previously won a prize in this contest.
