At the Board meeting on January 27, the Schoolcraft College Board of Trustees elected a new slate of officers for 2021-2022. Joan A. Gebhardt, who has served on the Board for over 14 years and filled both the Secretary and Treasurer positions, was elected to the office of Chair.
Carol M. Strom was re-elected as the Vice-Chair, Brian D. Broderick was elected as the Secretary, and Terry Gilligan was re-elected as the Treasurer. The other members of the Board of Trustees are Dillon E. Breen, William P. Erwin, and one vacant seat.
Prior to the meeting the three re-elected Board Members were sworn into office. Broderick was issued the Oath of Office by Livonia Mayor Maureen Brosnan; Gebhardt by her grandson Lukas Gebhardt; and Gilligan by Patrick Devlin.
In addition, the Board of Trustees has chosen three finalists for the vacated Trustee seat, which opened upon the retirement of Gretchen Alaniz. They will be interviewed during a special Board meeting on Wednesday, February 10, at 6:00 p.m.
