Meet Angia Smith, a culinary arts student at Schoolcraft. After 16 years as a stay-at-home mom, Smith decided to go college once her youngest child started school. She always had an interest in baking and decided that Schoolcraft College was the perfect fit for her. Smith was impressed that Schoolcraft seeks out the best instructors, including Certified Master Chefs and Certified Executive Chefs. She knew that she would gain real-world experience and learn from the best.

"Choosing to attend Schoolcraft is one of the best decisions I have ever made. There are so many different career paths to choose from. Not only are there many career choices, but the cost is much lower than a four-year college for the same education."

Smith’s hard work and dedication to her studies paid off when she recently made the Dean’s list. Smith is looking forward to her graduation and seeing where her future takes her after her time at Schoolcraft.
