Meet Olivia Borgdorff from the class of 2018. She came to Schoolcraft following a year traveling abroad after high school. At first she wasn’t sure that she wanted to go to college, but when she joined the women’s soccer team she knew she’d found her home.
“Schoolcraft gave me the opportunity to take prerequisite classes while I was unsure of what to study, while being affordable and supportive,” Borgdorff said. She cites Cali Crawford, Director of Athletics, and the entire athletics department as a phenomenal help to her. Another mentor and strong influence was Lisa Jackson, her psychology instructor. With their help she was able earn an athletic scholarship to continue her studies. Borgdorff moved on to Aquinas College, but says she will be “an Ocelot forever!”
