AccountID

The first step to getting started in Blackboard is to ensure that your Schoolcraft issued Network ID has been created and that you are able to successfully login to your desktop. A Network ID is assigned to you when you are hired as an employee, and it is canceled after you leave Schoolcraft. The Network ID for all Schoolcraft faculty and staff contains the initial of your first name followed by your 7 digit employee number.

Password

Schoolcraft passwords are used by faculty, staff and students to access Blackboard, email, Office 365, and a number of other applications and platforms.

To change or reset your Schoolcraft password:

Go to mypassword.schoolcraft.edu
Select Change my Password.
Enter the Captcha verification.
Enter your current Network ID and password.
Type in your new desired password, enter it again to confirm it's correct and then click Submit.

Students

Student passwords currently do not expire.

Must be at least 7 characters long
Must contain three of the following four categories:
- Uppercase characters (A-Z)
- Lowercase characters (a-z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Non-alphanumeric characters like $, # or %
Must not contain any part of your name
Must not be a recently used password

Faculty and staff

Faculty and staff passwords expire every 180 days.

Must be at least 16 characters long
Must contain three of the following four categories:
- Uppercase characters (A-Z)
- Lowercase characters (a-z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Non-alphanumeric characters like $, # or %
Must not contain any part of your name
Must not be a recently used password
