As a Guest Student you can register for classes without taking placement tests, sending transcripts, or meeting with a Schoolcraft Academic Advisor.

How to Become a Guest Student

  1. Apply for admission and indicate Guest Student under Educational Goal/Student Category. Guest students are not required to take placement tests or meet with an academic advisor (but you are always welcome to).
  2. Register for the class, or classes, you want online using Ocelot Access. Guest students pay all tuition and fees, as applicable, and are not eligible for financial aid funds.
  3. Pay for your classes using Ocelot Access.

  4. Buy or rent textbooks at the Schoolcraft Bookstore.

Things to Remember

  1. Most colleges require you to earn a minimum of a 2.0 for the credit to get transferred back.

  2. View which courses are transferable to your college or university by looking at course equivalencies.

  3. Always check with your college or university advisor before becoming a guest student.

  4. Make sure to have your official Schoolcraft transcript sent to your college or university.
